Australia's Festival of Porridge
The Pearly Spurtle – Festival of Porridge is Australia’s most unique and quirky community event. Held in the beautiful seaside village of Pearl Beach, NSW, the annual Festival is not just a celebration of the humble oat and it's historical Scottish roots, it also boasts the official Australian Porridge Making Championship. This fierce competition determines who will be our national representative for the Golden Spurtle, World Making Porridge Championship in Carrbridge, Scotland.
The inaugural 2026 Pearly Spurtle was a sold-out success. The Festival received nation-wide media coverage and the response from our vast community of oat-lovers was beyond what we ever could have expected.
